Now THAT is a funny guy.
Bush giving the middle finger in his gubernatorial career. And before the haters start sending in poorly spelled comments, of COURSE there's nothing wrong with the occasional one finger salute, as he puts it. But he just looks like such an asshole. It's really priceless.

Sinclair bleeds. That means we can kill it.
The Sinclair boycott sent their stock down 18 points or so in the last two weeks. And they've posted a retraction, first claiming they didn't ever intend to air the smear piece.
BUT. They're still showing the most inflammatory excerpts of it on a friday night slot. So, keep up the pressure to advertisers. This thing is working. Don't stop now.
The Last Starfighter: The Musical
Now, on first blush it may seem like a mistake to make a space adventure into a musical, showing at the Storm Theater this month. But consider:
- Idealistic young man in a provincial setting rises to meet the objections and doubts of his elders and peers. Like Flashdance, but with giant lizards, and something called "Death Blossom."
- Subplot about robot trying understand human love. Complete with mistaken identity.
- Musical number about Zanduzans, an interstellar hit-beast.
- Robert Preston.
The best cartoon actor award goes to...
This flash video for Radiohead's "Creep" has some of the best cartoon emoting I've seen in a while. And the rest of the animation is pretty damned good too. (also I like the way they use flash keyframes as their little intro page) More of their stuff can be found at lowmorale.co.uk.

Sinclair Advertisers Pulling Out
Dkospedia is reporting a number of pullouts from Sinclair's anti-Kerry stunt. Keep up the good work! But Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus refuses to pull out. I guess they just love a good humbug.
Who's that novelist voting for?
Republicans like to rant about the dangers of entertainers entering politics. And considering how awful Reagan was, maybe they have a point. But it's harder to dismiss novelists, who actually have to do some thinking from time to time. Who they're voting for and why.

As those of you who read the rest of the "Internets" know, Conservative Media conglomerate Sinclair Broadcasting Group will be airing an anti-Kerry movie called Stollen Honor in swing states. A copy of the story is Here.

What Gary Says
Amazing what you can do with a little creative audio editing and some flash. I dunno if it's the adorable ferrets, the crayons, the use of the word "fracas," or the plot (a meeting between Bush and Gary Busey in a pastoral setting), but Leave it to Bush is hilarious.

It's a bit heavy-handed and doesn't actually go into detail on the actual machinations of the PNAC, but this video is unmistakably gorgeous. The music is phenomenal, too.
