Here it is... Google's answer to aim. It's a jabber client.
And here's my theory: Google is playing. They want to see if they can pull an entire market away from an ingrained frontrunner. How do you beat AIM, with its huge marketshare, when interoperability keeps everyone in one place? We shall see. Maybe this'll be the first project to tank.
