I wrote this to the Ford Motor Company in response to this story on a local dealership's ad telling non-Christians to "sit down and shut up":

Like many others, I was horrified to see the behavior of the Kieffe and Sons dealership. The sentiments expressed in their commercial are thoroughly un-American and, frankly, medieval.

Since its inception, the Ford brand has purported to stand for everything best about our country: innovation, freedom, and quality. The provincial, hurtful, and prejudiced statements of Kieffe and sons tarnish your brand in the eyes of the majority of Americans, who value pluralism and our cherished bill of rights.

While I understand that Kieffe and Sons is a separate entity from the Ford Motor Company, they are a representative of your brand. I'm confident that you have the means to punish them for their outrageous behavior, and I fully expect the Ford Motor company to delegitimize and denouce this behavior.

Thank you for your time.

I hope you'll write the Ford Motor Company in your own words, and call these people out. This shit's gotta stop.
